Dance and recital video editing for Chicago studios

Remote editing for Chicago dance studios, competition teams and choreographers, quoted from your footage.

Chicago projects

Chicago has a large dance community, from neighborhood studios and park district classes to competition teams and professional companies. Spring recital season brings the biggest piles of footage: long shows in school auditoriums and theaters, often recorded by a parent with one camera on a tripod and a phone at the side of the stage.

Auditorium shoots tend to mix stage lighting with dark seating areas, so faces can be bright while costumes go dark. We balance each camera and match them so a routine looks the same from every angle. If the theater gave you a board audio feed, send it: it sounds far cleaner than a camera microphone in a full room.

How a Chicago project runs

  1. You share the footage, the running order and what you need back.
  2. We confirm scope and send a written quote with the delivery date.
  3. You review a first cut with time-stamped notes.
  4. We make the changes and deliver files for families, judges or social.

Everything happens online: footage arrives through a shared link, cuts come back as review links, and we book calls in Central time. We don't film and we don't have an office in Chicago; your videographer or your own cameras capture the show, and we edit it.

What you can order

Questions

Do you work with Chicago studios in person?

No. We work remotely by email, review links and calls booked in Central time, so there's nothing to schedule in person.

Can you deliver routine files before the end of the season?

Yes. Tell us the date you need them and we'll set the delivery date in the quote around it.

Ask for a quote

Cost depends on how many routines and cameras there are, how much sound and color work the footage needs, how many versions you want and how fast you need them. Every job gets its own written quote.
